Maciek Krajewski

Maciek graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2026 with an MChem Chemistry degree. During his undergraduate years, he completed a short project on HTE techniques in cross-coupling reactions under Dr Benjamin Bhawal, and spent his final year of studies in Japan, where under the joint supervision of Prof. Susumu Saito and Dr Uwe Schneider he worked on iridium-catalysed transfer hydrogenation towards ester reduction. At Heriot-Watt, Maciek works on photocatalytic glycoside functionalisation in collaboration with Croda. In his free time, Maciek is often found fishing, playing guitar in a local pub, or solving puzzles.
